Workshop location and environment

My workshop has been established since 2023 within CoFabrik, located in the heart of Lille Moulins, a creative third-place bringing together numerous artists and artisans. This collaborative environment fosters inspiring exchanges and creative stimulation.

I have a 25 m² private workshop where I design, weave, and restore within my own universe.

Additionally, access to shared cabinetmaking tools at CoFabrik enables me to fabricate all woodworking elements on-site

Caning, traditional hand-weaving

Caning is a traditional craft that consists of hand-weaving natural plant fibers sourced from the liana palm bark.
Used for centuries, this skill spread throughout Europe from the 17th century and continues to captivate today’s interior design enthusiasts.
Entirely executed by hand, caning offers an infinite range of creative possibilities, combining elegance, texture, and lightness for interior spaces.
Anchored in tradition yet adapted for contemporary uses, caning is a timeless material at the intersection of craftsmanship and design.

Inès

I am a cabinetmaker specialized in caning and traditional hand-weaving techniques.
After completing studies in communication, I discovered my passion for artisanal craft and trained in cabinetmaking at the Institut Saint Luc (Tournai, Be).
Following this training, I specialized by working in a restoration workshop focused on caning, where I learned the technical properties of the material and the precise gestures of these ancestral weaving methods.
Since establishing my own practice in 2023, I develop my activity combining cabinetmaking and caning from my Lille workshop.
I conceive and produce custom pieces of furniture, working closely with interior designers, decorators, and private clients.

Each project is unique and shaped by hand.
