I restore your caned furniture with respect for traditional craftsmanship.
My process includes disassembly, cleaning, choice of appropriate fiber, and hand weaving. Every step aims to preserve the original authenticity of the piece while ensuring durability for many years to come.
I can also modernize your piece by weaving with colored cord for a contemporary finish.

For both individuals and professionals, I provide custom caning-integrated solutions. I design and fit bespoke cane facades for cabinets and built-in furniture. Projects include closet doors, bathroom cabinets, radiator covers, and more.

Caned furniture creation
Trained as a cabinetmaker, I design and produce limited-edition caned furniture. Each piece is fully customizable : dimensions, finishes, and materials adapted to your preferences.
My goal is to create furniture that fits seamlessly into your daily life.
Caning workshops, introduction to technique
I guide you step by step in learning how to weave cane through a support frame.
You will learn how to align, tension, and knot the strands with precision. This workshop is the perfect opportunity to discover this ancient artisan technique.

The Inès Hayaud workshop is located in the heart of Lille Moulins within CoFabrik — a collective of 16 artists and artisans.
After studies in communication and cabinetmaking, I naturally specialized in cane weaving at a renowned workshop.
My Lille location enables me to work wood and cane and to welcome students into my workshop.
